Born in Sendai, Japan. Kini chi Ogata began working as a carpenter. After mastering the practicality of wood structure, he desired more, so he and his younger brother, Hisashi, founded Ogata, Inc. in 1998.
He and his staff share a love for art and decided to mesh structure with beauty through hand-made pieces for all everyday needs.
